The Grand Opening

The Fayette County Connection Café was officially opened on June 21st, 2021! This event was incredible to witness as officials from different county sectors came together to celebrate this achievement.

The event was complete with guest speakers from all over the state, tours of the newly-renovated Café, and a special dinner to honor those who donated and volunteered to create the space that we see today.

Naloxboxes in Connersville

Narcan Emergency Kits (pictured) contain free Narcan nasal spray, a lifesaving agent that is used to revive someone who is overdosing. The Narcan in these boxes is available 24/7 and refilled regularly by Café staff. Below are the locations of each Naloxbox:

  • Connection Café, 635 N. Central Avenue

  • Faith Christian School, 2635 Iowa Avenue

  • Gray Haven Motel, 1200 W. 3rd Street

  • Grace Church (Naloxbox is located inside), 2836 Indiana Avenue

Renew Your Spirit

Date: 4th Monday of Every Month

Time: 7 p.m.

Place: Connection Café (635 N. Central Avenue, Connersville IN 47331)

Renew Your Spirit is a family support group for those learning to cope with grief & loss, mental illness, or substance use disorders. These support groups occur on the fourth Monday of every month, with varying topics related to managing grief & loss.

Turning Hoosiers into Heroes

Funded by the National Institutes of Health, the purpose of the Opioid Rapid Response System (ORRS) is to give community members the ability to reverse an overdose and save a life by using the PulsePoint Respond app. First responders are often overburdened and may not make it to the scene of an overdose in time. The idea behind the ORRS project is to improve the odds of saving someone from becoming another victim of the opioid epidemic. Click the link below to learn more about this project!
